As Temperatures Get Colder, Columbia Gas Expands Free and Discounted Services

Columbia Gas of Ohio is preparing residents for a colder winter by expanding their free and discounted services. They want to make sure that as the temperatures drop, customers are able to heat their homes using natural gas without worries about their budget. Their Home Performance Solutions program offers a home energy audit to provide feedback to homeowners on lowering their energy usage by 30%. In addition, they are offering their home energy audit at a 50% discount for the month of November.

Columbia Gas also offers Warm Choice, a weatherization program for customers that includes many free services. For customers who quality, the Warm Choice program offers free attic and wall insulation, checking of gas appliances, a home energy inspection and air sealing. The program will also provide to households that need it complimentary energy efficient shower heads and programmable thermostats. The Warm Choice program averages customers a savings of up to $400 annually in their natural gas bills. Qualifying for Warm Choice is based on income, and is available for customers with Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP Plus).
